DIFFERENT WAYS COMPANIES CAN GET THEIR NAME OUT
Even if you are selling a wonderful service or product, people will never buy unless they heard of it. This is what makes it more important to your company’s name out for your success and growth. Once you are ready to take your business to the next level and see more sales increase, you can try any or all of the following amazing ways for getting your company’s name out into your target market and community.

Go for Local Ads
Newspaper, radio, and TV are not the only channels where you can advertise. You can also put ads about your company on bus stop benches, on grocery arts, or on billboards. You can also advertise in local community newsletters and on paper menus of local restaurants. Place the name of your company on your vehicles, and advertise on the website of your town. You can also make new signs you can put on your physical store to make your brick and mortar location more interesting to the eyes of potential customers.

Host a Charity Drive
You can hold a charity drive to get your name out in front of your customers and at the same time, help your community. You can arrange the drop off of donations at your company for your chosen local charity. This will not just bring more people to your business for it will also have a positive effect on your business as a whole.

Sponsor Events
Give yourself some dose of publicity by merely sponsoring an event. You can choose to sponsor the local little league team and have the logo of your company printed on their uniform for parents to see it during games. You can also sponsor a local fair, festival, or concert. You can even sponsor an event at a church, school, or other local businesses in town.

Hold a Giveaway
Hosting a giveaway can ensure that it will not take you long to get your name out in front of thousands of fans no matter where they come from. Bigger prizes increase the chances of having more people signing up. Aside from that, once you have their informant, it will be easier for you to get in touch with them in the future.

Distribute Promotional Materials for Free
No one can resist free stuff. If you give away promotional materials for free, such as pens, bottle openers, and key chains, people are going to remember your company each time they see these items. On top of that, once people share or lose these items, they are actually putting your company’s name out in front of other people, too.
 
Plan a Big Event
When you plan and host a great event at the community, people will not only be attending that event because the press will also likely cover it through the weeks prior to it. There is no need for this event to have anything to do with your company per se. You can just plan something that is fun that many people would like to attend.

Almost every marketer I’ve ever met either struggles with either an arbitrary marketing budget created by upper management or the challenge of creating a budget that balances growth goals with cost limitations.

As confusing and frustrating as it can be to put together a reasonable marketing budget (or create a compelling argument for reasonable changes to your assigned budget), your marketing budget for 2017 can be an incredibly empowering or limiting factor for your business.


Fortunately, building a marketing budget for 2017 doesn’t have to be something you dread. With the right approach, it can actually be fairly simple to put together a practical, easily justifiable budget that will allow you to reach your marketing and business goals next year.

Once you align your company goals with your marketing goals, it is time to identify your marketing budget so you can develop a detailed plan that supports your strategy.  To make sure your Image is where you believe it should be!

How you choose to allocate funds for your 2017 marketing efforts depends on your company, industry, target audience and company goals.
To start, examine last year’s plan and metrics. Consider:
  • What were last year’s strategies and tactics?  What worked?? What did not?
  • Will Re-Branding help achieve more presence for you?
  • Where you would like to make improvements?
  • Where your industry is headed, is it time to make a change, and Stand out among your Competitors?
  • How do prospects within your target audience move through the buyer’s journey?
  • Are you touching prospects at each stage of that buyer’s journey?

Planning for effective marketing in 2017 starts with developing a solid, carefully thought-out business strategy. Ask yourself the questions above and involve key stakeholders in your business to understand how your plans will need to fit the business plan moving forward.
